Machined Precision Components has accessed funding from the LEADER Grant Scheme to help purchase a new CNC machine, a VM20i vertical machining centre from Hurco Europe. This scheme is run under the Rural Development Programme for England (2014/2020), funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rurlal Development (EAFRD) and the Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and administered by the Brecks Local Action Group on behalf of Norfolk County Council. Its aim is support for investments on creation and development of non-agricultural activities.
The machine allows MPC to increase its machining capabilities, also to increase productivity and will enable the company to employ further skilled engineers. It will give more machining power than currently available and because of its advanced software it will allow a greater range of components to be manufactured.
