MPC has added to its equipment list with the purchase of a new Hurco VMX30Ti vertical machining centre. The company has accessed the LEADER grant funding scheme to enable this purchase to happen. This scheme is run under the Rural Development Programme for England (2014/2020), funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the Department of Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and administered by the Brecks Local Action Group on behalf of Norfolk County Council. Its aim is support for investments on creation and development of non-agricultural activities.
The VMX30Ti uses Hurco’s own industry leading advanced twin screen control, which when allied to the super-fast 12000 RPM spindle, 30 station automatic toolchanger and supreme machining capabilities, including 3D profiling, will enhance considerably the profitability and productivity of the company. MPC will use this machine to further its expansion, including increasing its skilled workforce, and the search for new engineers has already commenced.
